IEEE International Conference on Communications, Control, and Computing Technologies for Smart Grids
29-31 October 2018 // Aalborg, Denmark

Challenges and Solutions in Future Distribution Grids

ORGANIZER

Rasmus Løvenstein Olsen, Aalborg University

MOTIVATION AND SCOPE

The intention of this workshop is to shed light on challenges in the low and medium voltage grids that DSO’s are facing today and expected in future as even more renewable energy are introduced at distribution level. The many challenges related to increased penetration of renewables are highly interdisciplinary and requires understanding of different domains. On one hand the DSO’s are required to ensure supply at a certain quality despite renewable energy resources introduced in the grid, on the other side, market and privacy concerns needs to be properly tackled.
